Download the latest driver for AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56, fix the missing driver with AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56. I'm currently running 32 bit Windows 7 ultimate on my HP 6715b I notice the '64's in the. Can HP AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-64 run. Download Center. Hey all, i have a amd turion 64 x2 tl-60 and when i installed Win 7 RC it came up with an unknown device (coprocessor) AMD said they dont have the drivers and that it is a windows issue, because they should be built in. Where can i get the drivers for this, or is there another way to resolve this issue. Thanks guys I think you are referring to the AMD Away mode, and that is not intrinsic to Windows for some reason. I guess there are some CPU features that are not well supported yet. On the Vista CD for my board there is a driver but Windows 7 RC does not like it complaining its 32-bit only. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! I need a new web server, the old IBM 300GL has a 137GB disk limit, for my as the hard disk finally bit the dust. The Windows box is a RaidMax Smilodon chassis, Asus M2NBP-VM CSM motherboard, AMD 4200+ 65W CPU, 2GB RAM, ATI x600, over 1TB storage, Windows 7 RC. Hi, Thanks for your post and update. Do you perform a clean install or an upgrade? What is the previous version of Windows? If the processor is detected by Windows Vista, it should be detected in Windows 7 after a fresh installation. Generally, Windows automatically detects and gathers hardware information at the startup of installation. Have you checked in BIOS to see if it can detect AMD processors correctly? Regarding the current issue, I noticed that you came across a black screen issue. As I know, black screen can be related to several factors such as hardware defect, hardware compatibility and system file corrupted. If the extend monitor displays black screen too, I recommend you check graphic card driver. Otherwise, if the extend monitor displays normally, the issue is mainly due to laptop screen, you need to send the laptop to manufacturer for fix. Best Regards. I too am having a similar problem. My problem is that in my device manager, it displays 2 instances of other drivers with a yellow symbol with an exclamation point in it. Right click properties reveals ***This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1) ***The system cannot find the file specified. ***To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver. Cant copy and paste so ill sum it up. Windows found a driver but cant install amd processor because it cant find the file. Please check manufacturer website. Manufacturers doesnt have any. Im guessing operating systems should be able to use a processor correctly. Now, I am not sure if this is related but my computer overheats often. Sometimes it locks and sometimes it reboots. Especially under heavy application. You can feel the heat coming thru the keyboard and vents. Sometimes vacuuming the exhaust vent periodically ensures safe gaming. It would make sense to me anyways that if the computer doesnt recognize the cpu, how would it know if its overheating. Anyways my computer is an gateway nv5329h. Win7 os which i dont mind too much except this periodical BS. Any help would be appreciated. Hopefully its a driver download. Same heating problem with my Laptop as well and gets auto power off when i run CPU intensive apps. I downgraded vista to XP in my Compaq V3702AU laptop having AMD Turion X 64 Mobile technology processor. I know this isn't supported but did it for some unavoidable reasons, i installed most of the hardware drivers for Windows XP but couldn't find drivers for the SM BUS controller and Co processor. I believe if these drivers are installed, this heat problem will go away. Any help on this case is highly appreciated. I'm currently running 32 bit Windows 7 ultimate on my HP 6715b I notice the '64's in the name but wasn't sure if that meant anything or not. I put 4 GB of RAM in the laptop earlier(originally only had 1GB) but it seems because of 32 bit it only read 2.87 of it. Would I get the same from 64 bit? (if able to run) or could i get most of the 4gb then? Would I have issue running 64 bit? (provided that i can anyway) This laptop afterall was made before Windows 7 even came out (manufactured with Vista Home Basic) I'd gladly get a new laptop but as of right now unable to to so as of now wanna make this laptop performance the best i can. It means your hardware is 64-bit. Therefore it can run either 32-bit Windows or 64-bit Windows. Amd Turion 64 X2 Driver Windows 7I put 4 GB of RAM in the laptop earlier(originally only had 1GB) but it seems because of 32 bit it only read 2.87 of it. All 32-bit client versions of Windows (not just XP/Vista/7) have a 4GB address space (64-bit versions can use much more). That's the theoretical upper limit beyond which you can not go. But you can't use the entire address space. Even though you have a 4GB address space, you can only use around 3.1GB of RAM. That's because some of that space is used by hardware and is not available to the operating system and applications.
